Kyra Payne, or KiKi Plz, works across a variety of mediums with an emphasis on ceramics and textiles. You can find her work in Mexico City, Mexico at Marsella68, Filia Store, and Mo Mo Room.
In the last year Kyra has been creating a series of site-specific sculptures that focus on themes of ephemerality and loss. Each piece is made out of unfired clay and possess a unique characteristic with which it interacts with its natural environment. The end goal for these sculptures is their eventual self-destruction, which allows Kyra to recycle the clay and begin work on the next installation.
